The Funtastics is a social group that was originally called the Contemporary Club when it was started in the 1960’s. The group is open to everyone.
The Funtastics meet every other month, either at member’s homes for picnics, pig roasts, brunches and such or at restaurants and theatre shows.
Come and join the fun!
The present quilting group was started in 1967, although there had been quilting activities in the past. Presently, there are four quilters but we always welcome anyone who loves to quilt or would like to learn….we’d love to teach you.
We meet each Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. in the Murr Room which is the most southeast corner, first floor of the Sunday School (Christian Education) wing.
Each year we make a quilt to be raffled at the fall fair, but our main purpose is to quilt completed tops for others. We’re usually about five years behind, so we need quilters! We keep three quilts “going” and quilt only on one side of the frame. The camaraderie is unique and most enjoyable….we learn a lot from each other for there is a lot of talent in our group.
