Statement of Faith

It is the belief of Shiloh Church that each of us is called to develop a practical, workable faith as taught in the Bible, exemplified in the life of Christ and in keeping with the Judeo-Christian tradition. Each member of Shiloh Church shall have the undisturbed right to follow the word of God according to the declaration of his or her own conscience.

The following is an expression of the spirit in which Shiloh Church attempts to interpret the Christian ideal:

I believe in God, Maker and Ruler of all things, Creator of all persons, Source of all goodness and beauty, all truth and love.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God manifest in human life, our teacher and example, the Savior of the world.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, God present with us for guidance, for comfort, and for strength.
I believe in the forgiveness of sins, in the grace of God for every need, and in the Kingdom of God as the divine rule in human society.
I believe that this faith should manifest itself in the service of love as seen in the example of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, I will work and pray for the transformation of the world into the Kingdom of God.
I will look with faith for the triumph of righteousness and the life everlasting.
I will strive to know the will of God as revealed in Jesus Christ.
I will do my part to make this a church with which Jesus Christ will be pleased.
So help me God!

Covenant of Shiloh Church

We covenant one with another to seek and respond to the Word and Will of God. We purpose to walk together in the ways of the Lord, made known and to be made known to us.

We hold it to be the purpose of this church to celebrate our faith: through worship that presents anew the living Word of God, through teaching that communicates the Good News of Christ, through fellowship that demonstrates the love of Christ, and through service that ministers to the needs of others.

We promise that, so far as we are able, we will attend the services of Shiloh Church, observe its sacraments, share in its work and willingly contribute our prayers and our stewardship of time, talent and financial resources to make this an ever more vital body of Christians.
