Missions and Social Concerns Committee
Responsibilities:
·
To be advocates for the mission of God through the church
to the world.
·
To make the committee itself knowledgeable on the many
services and mission projects taking place locally, nationally and
internationally.
·
To personalize missions by informing and educating the
congregation on activities, needs and opportunities to serve others.
·
To select local, national and international projects for
active participation by church members.
·
To establish a yearly mission calendar for the church.
·
To formulate a yearly mission budget and a challenge goal
for mission giving that promote financial support of mission programs.
·
To facilitate relationships with local community
organizations, such as The Foodbank, and coordinate the Shiloh Church –
Valerie Elementary School Partnership. To educate the congregation on
issues of current social concern.
·
To further Shiloh’s tradition of reaching out to help
neighbors in the community, nation and world.
